Strategic Alignment
Whether executives share a common mental model of why the transformation is happening, what it is supposed to deliver, and what success looks like. Measures the gap between stated alignment and actual alignment on vision, outcomes, priorities, risk tolerance, and transformation rationale.
Sponsorship Effectiveness
Whether the executive sponsor and supporting leaders understand and actively fulfill their sponsorship responsibilities. Distinguishes between passive endorsement and active sponsorship: visibility, barrier removal, accountability ownership, and reinforcement behaviors.
Leadership Messaging Alignment
Whether executives are communicating the same transformation narrative consistently and confidently across the organization. Measures message consistency, narrative clarity, communication cadence, and whether the message is being translated for different audiences.
Governance and Decision-Making Alignment
Whether the governance structure is functioning as a real decision body rather than a status review forum. Evaluates decision clarity, escalation effectiveness, cross-functional collaboration, decision speed, and whether avoided decisions are accumulating beneath the surface.
Change Leadership Readiness
Whether leaders are prepared to lead the human side of the transformation. Distinct from sponsorship: measures emotional intelligence, workforce empathy, resistance management readiness, modeling of desired behaviors, and whether leaders are equipped to navigate uncertainty in public.
Transformation Confidence and Conviction
The executive team's actual belief that this transformation will succeed. The hardest pillar to score honestly because the behavioral tell is concealment. Measures hidden skepticism, fear of prior failures repeating, performative alignment, and whether leaders are building this transformation or going through the motions.
